European Nightcrawlers E. hortensis HomeGrown
Tired of buying scrawny, half dead worms that you can't get on a No 6 hook. Or maybe you are getting the Canadian Nightcrawler that is as active as a slug or dying on you in the middle of the day because of the heat, just as the fishing is getting good. Or tired that after you put him on the hook he is dead 2 minutes later or falls apart on you……………
The European Nightcrawler (E. hortensis ) is just what you need for all your fishing needs. Will stay alive longer on your hook while in the water, and can take the heat longer, and is just a tuffer hide worm than any other kind. The European Nightcrawler is starting to be the number One worm in the U.S.
The European Nightcrawler (E.hortensis) are storming the market as a heat tolerant, longer lasting worm on hook than the Canadian nightcrawler. . Canadian night crawlers are picked on golf courses during the hot summer months are weak and have a high rate of mortality..
Canadian night crawlers must be kept at 42-45 degrees. Canadian night crawlers exposed to outdoor heat for even a very short time will die. Canadian night crawler quality is highly dependent on the type of weather on the night of collection as well as the type of land from which they are collected Canadian night crawlers are manually collected in a geographically small area in southwestern Ontario, Canada during rainy, cool nights since they cannot be commercially grown.
They are picked between late September and early November. This means that the Canadian night crawlers fishermen are getting at the beginning of the season have been in storage for six months or more and are not in very good condition. They are collected again in the late spring between May 15 and July 15 when the nights are cool and moist. They still must travel hundreds of miles through a series of distributors before reaching the fisherman in less than ideal condition.
European Nightcrawlers (E. hortensis) do not require refrigeration and can be stored between 45-75 degrees Fahrenheit. This combined with my exclusive "Worm Keeper", a feed that is sent with each order of worms means that my worms will require minimal care and will have a shelf life of up to eight weeks at room temperature.
Hi there, I got tired of the ( Wall Mart) worms dying on me and trying to keep them alive in the summer time when I would go fishing. I have found the right WORM the European Nightcrawler (E. hortensis). This one will be great for the small country store or for the small bait shop's or to the man at home wanting a good bait size fishing worm, a good tuff hardy worm that can take the heat like these European Nightcrawlers. I have been fishing with these worms and they will out do the Canadian Nightcrawler as far as, taking the heat and staying alive on your hook while in the water much, much, better than the Wall Mart brand.
I work and manage a 1600-acre beef farm and have access to lots of natural manure and hay mixture to raise these European Nightcrawlers. These worms I sell are one year old or older (not 3 to 6 months as big grower's sell) And i do not feed them ( slush ) for fast growth, and that will sterile the worms.. These are mainly for bait , but are still able to Breed and have good egg's, the smaller one's are best for breeding and having more egg's than these bigger one's. They are any were from 5 to 7 inches long (not stretched out) and as big around as a pencil good and fat, and very active. I feed these very little feed, utilizing the natural mix I have, and let TIME make the Mature Big Size European Nightcrawler that I want to sell.
Time will grow these to be a better worm, (one year is when they become an adult) like I said Quality not Quantity that I grow. I will be limited to how many I sell. So contact me soon and let me know what you are after. I am raising these mainly for the fisherman, so makes no difference how small the order contact me. (Example) an order of 500 will keep easily in your closet or garage for 6 to 8 weeks with out refrigeration, no hassle with the wife. Just have you a cooler or a bucket with my instructions and you will have plenty of bait for the summer. If you want you're own Honey Hole of getting small order of Quality worms, contact me . If you want more information on these, or wanting to start your on worm farm like i did. Get your good breeder's from Ben at this site www.dakotablue.com.
